I began working with Amadeus GDS before the turn of the millennium and, despite having learned other systems, Amadeus remains my sharpest tool to this day; it continues to feel like my most trusted asset. I was part of the first Amadeus training group in Bulgaria, initially organized to prepare users for a transition between different GDS platforms. However, for Cveti and me, it marked the very beginning of our journey—we started from scratch, truly a tabula rasa, and excelled beyond expectations.
Our strong mastery of Amadeus GDS, combined with our organization’s young, small, and adaptable nature, led both the local IATA office and Amadeus NMC in Bulgaria to select us a few years later as the pilot agency for implementing centralized ticketing. This marked the end of manually written, carbon-copy, four-coupon tickets, as well as manual airline reporting.
With the years of experience we have accumulated, Cveti and I stand as the most seasoned Amadeus users in Bulgaria.
